A Maxine E. Morrison died on 11 Apr 1965, in San Diego. She was born in 5 Jul 1918, in Missouri. Her mother's madien name was Hodges. (Source: California Death Index, 1940-1997)

The gravestone for Leon I. and Maxine E. Morrison lists her birth year as 1918 and her death year as 1965. She is buried in a cemetary in Chula Vista, in the county of San Diego. This matches the information on the death index.

It is unlikey that she had any children with Leon Morrison (due to her age), but no information is known about their four year marrriage.

Following is all the information I have found on Leon's second wife, Maxine.

Maxine was born Maxine Claim Mclaughlin in Missouri on 1918-07-05. Her parents were Raymond Merle Mclaughlin and Ruby Inez Hodges.

She had a younger sister, Eloise, born in Missouri 1920-01-23. She died in San Diego County, California on 1994-08-07 in Mercy Hospital, at the age of 74 years old. She was married to a man named Mr. Ernie Simonson. My research has not found Eloise as having had any children. Her obituary in the San Diego Union-Tribute listed her as "Simonson, Eloise McLaughlin (Chub)" and her husband as "Simsonson, Ernie (Dec)". I don't know what the "Chub" and "Dec" mean. (I am unable to find a copy of the obituary.)

She had a younger brother, Forest/Forrest, born in Missouri around 1922. I have found records for a Forrest R. Mclaughlin born in Missouri on 1921-10-31 and died 1976-09-28 (roughly 55 years old). I don't know which state he died in. This may have been Maxine's brother. My research shows that Forrest had a son and a daughter. Names unknown.

My research does not show any other siblings for Maxine, but it's possible another sibling could have been born after 1930. I think this is unlikely based on the years Maxine, Eloise, and Forrest were born.

Maxine's ancestry is rooted in Missouri, especially on her mother's side of the family. I haven't looked into her father's side much, but most of the Hodges famliy is in the same cemetery in a town near where they lived in Missouri. Maxine's parents are both buried in that cemetery in Missouri.

I don't know where Forrest died, but find it interesting that Eloise died in San Diego County. Maxine had died in Chula Vista, in San Diego County. Maxine's California death index entry lists "San Diego" (county) as where she died, but that family tree linked to earlier in the e-mail states that she died in Chula Vista. I have no way to know who submitted that information, except the user name "cgbuchtold415027" and no date when the data was submitted. This may be someone related to Maxine in some way, and someone who knew where she died. However, that family tree does not list Maxine's siblings.

It seems Maxine married two times. The first marriage would have been to a Mr. Holland. When or where, I do not know. The second marriage would be to Leon Morrison. When Leon and Maxine married, two California marriage index entries for the same marriage date were created: one for Leon Morrison marrying Maxine Mclaughlin and one for Leon Morrison marrying Maxine Holland.
