COTTAGE GROVE - Robert Yingling of Cottage Grove died Dec. 2 of heart failure. He was 70. A private family gathering is planned. He was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Long Beach, Calif., to Robert and Margaret Fergason Yingling. He married Elouise Carr Pardun in December 1966 in Cottage Grove. He worked at the Cottage Grove Weyerhaeuser sawmill for 27 years. He also worked for several years for Jamison Produce in Vale. Survivors include his wife; five stepsons, Dee Pardun, Dave Pardun and Steve Pardun, all of Cottage Grove, Bill Pardun of Florence and Bob Pardun of Central Point; three stepdaughters, Ann Pardun Price and Alice Pardun, both of Eugene, and Jeannette Pardun Armstrong of Ontario; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove.
