Obituary, The Billings Gazette, Billings, Montana:
Axel Jorgenson, 64, 602 Lewis Avenue, died Saturday morning in a Billings hospital.
He was born March 14, 1903, in Denmark, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Iver Jorgensen. He moved to the United States in 1906 and lived in South Dakota. In 1913 he moved to Sidney where he began farming.
He married Violet M. Hall, April 15, 1933, in Savage (Montana). They retired from the farm in 1950(?) and moved to Billings.
He was a member of the American Lutheran Church and the Elks of Billings.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Robert W. Wintermute, 2222 Brentwood Lane; three brothers, Chris Jorgenson, Sidney; Richard Jorgenson, Cameron, Missouri, and John Jorgenson, Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Mr. I.J. (Anna) Peterson, Sidney, and Mrs. Russell (Esther) Pritchard, Whitewater, Wisconsin, and two grandchildren.
The body is at Settergren-Carey Funeral Home.
